Dr. Peter Kwon received his dental degree from University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore. After graduation, he continued his dental education by completing a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Maryland. Dr. Kwon is certified in Invisalign (clear braces) and is licensed in both MD and VA. Dr. Kwon’s focus in dentistry is to help his patients establish and maintain good oral health by taking a dedicated and caring approach to all treatments. Dr. Kwon strives to provide the best dental care available to his patients by continuing to broaden his dental knowledge through variety of Continuing Education courses. He particularly enjoys cosmetic dentistry (veneers, whitening, all porcelain crowns, tooth color fillings) but provides a full range of dental treatments in this office including complete Implant treatments, root canals, dentures, and extractions. Dr. Kwon is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and Korean American Dental Association. He is from Rockville and loves the Redskins, the Wizards, and the Terrapins. He is fluent in Korean.
Dr. Crystal Carpenter graduated from University of Pittsburgh Dental School. During her years in dental school, she participated in two mission trips to Jamaica, where she provided dental treatments to underprivileged patients living in the mountains of Jamaica. She was a member of the Alpha Omega fraternity, Pedodontic club, and Hispanic Dental Association member. Dr. Carpenter completed a year of Advanced General Dentistry residency and received her Certificate from University of Maryland, Baltimore, Dental School. She has been in private practice since 2003 in the greater Washington DC area. After owning her private practice for three years, she joined her husband, Dr. Kwon, at our Bethesda office in 2008. Dr. Carpenter is licensed in MD and DC. She is certified in Lumineers (pain-free veneers) and is always happy to discuss cosmetic treatment options with her patients. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Carpenter is originally from Hagerstown, MD. She enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with their two young children and extended family in the area. Dr. Carpenter is currently taking Korean language classes.
Dr. EunJung Ji earned a Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Biology and Medical Sciences from the University of Western Ontario, in Canada. She then received her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Ji is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She utilizes the most up-to-date information to guide her patients into making informed decisions regarding their oral health care. Her goal is to educate patients about oral health and to provide the best dental care possible while making each visit a positive experience for patients. She enjoys helping her patients regain confidence in their smile by restoring their mouths to optimal health and function. When Dr. Ji is not in the office, she enjoys playing instruments (piano & flute) and watching orchestral concerts and musicals. She is also a certified lifeguard and enjoys playing sports, such as snowboarding, skiing, bowling, and tennis.
